Job Summary

This position is a direct report to the Applications Group Products Supervisor and has sound knowledge of business processes in managing SAP Success Factors - Employee Central and related modules to support the business enterprise.  Responsible for managing internal and external resources to support on-going maintenance and future initiatives in relation to the SAP SuccessFactors products. Works closely with Human Resources to facilitate and support the integrity of the employee life-cycle processes.  
•    Maintains SuccessFactors configurations related to issue resolution and system enhancements. 
•    Manages full software development life cycle of SAP SuccessFactors projects for organization. 
•    Creates long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. 
•    Designs, develops and maintains user management and architecture across multiple environments in addition to providing solution recommendations.  
•    Ensures compliance with government and corporate security guidelines.  
•    Develops and implements policies, processes, architecture, training, and communications. 
•    Shapes business opportunities, introduces new innovations and supports business goals that are enabled by technology.  This includes:
o    Developing, administering and executing preventive maintenance programs
o    Overseeing problem management, performing root cause analysis and corrective action plans
o    Providing vendor management and oversight, administering and reporting on vendor and client SLAs. 
 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•   Responsibility for the SAP systems and ensuring proper operational support, and problem resolution input for the SAP SuccessFactors applications.  As the group technology lead this role will: 
•    Design, develop and maintain SAP user management and architecture across multiple SAP HR environments in addition to providing solution recommendations. 
•    Advocate for exploring and leveraging standard solutions first.
•    Ensure compliance with government and corporate HR guidelines.
•    Develop, administer and execute preventive maintenance programs, oversee problem management, perform root cause analysis and corrective action plans, providing vendor management and oversight, and administer and report on vendor and client SLAs.
•    Serves as domain specific subject matter expert for their assigned product line.
•    Keeps informed of technical and managerial advances in IT, including leading the introduction of best practice.

•    Work with key stakeholders to develop current and future state process documents based on business requirements.
•    Analyze and convey business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents.
•    Oversee ongoing system configuration, maintenance, and support activities. 
•    Drive cost, schedule, quality, and deliverables from third party resources.
•    Work with training team(s) to develop and deliver user training curriculum.
•    Implements payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•    Conduct system testing, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions or enhancements.
•    May provide project management and participate in related deliverables.
•    Leads project work.
•    Must be available for callout 24 X 7
 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or a related technical field 
•    6 or more years of HRIS systems experience with at least 2 years related work experience with the SuccessFactors suite of products
•    Extensive knowledge of Human Resource employee life-cycle processes
•    Demonstrated ability to appreciate stakeholders’ sense of urgency and confidently and professionally narrow the issues to realistic actionable solutions 
•    Thorough knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors modules, their intended use, and how to integrate/configure with add on tools
•    Demonstrated ability to engage and successfully maintain excellent relationships while producing required outcomes with all areas of the PSEG Long Island IT organization, HR as your business stakeholder/partner, and across the organization as well as with various third-party vendors and consultants.
•    Knowledge of SAP SucessFactors Employee Central  configuration including workflow rules.
•    Knowledge of SAP SPRO/IMG configuration.
•    Strong background in data maintenance (imports/exports, LSMW, and similar) and analysis
•    Must demonstrate the ability to gain knowledge of process dependencies and linkage across the business, especially in finance, quickly to effectively assess and support current needs and align to future growth strategies.
•    Must demonstrate strong consultative skills and the ability to work effectively with client and other systems technical staff, consultants, and vendors and all levels of staff.
•    Must have the ability to provide analytical conclusions and support recommended action/decisions with clarity, adjusting to meet the needs of the audience (technical v non-technical business partners/clients).  
•    Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including MS Project or similar project management tool; MS Visio.

•    Technical/software certification such as AWS certification, etc.  
•    Relevant technical acumen or experience in computer programming, development  or coding
•    Understanding of basic financial principles including experience with project financial budgeting and planning
•    Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) 
•    SAP certification

•    Experience with ITIL & CMMI
