Job Summary
This position is part of a team responsible for managing metrics and developing work scopes on transmission and distribution systems from 13kV through 345kV. This position offers problem solving and challenging leadership opportunities on various transmission and distribution system initiatives and represents reliability management in various key internal and external stakeholder committees. This position represents PSEG LI/LIPA on technical stakeholder matters pertaining to reliability initiatives. Focus of this position will be on transmission system reliability.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not be limited to, the following:
- Preparing and analyzing reliability statistics, interruption data and GIS information as it relates to the Transmission & Distribution System.
- Performe engineering analysis to understand the impact of changes to load, diagnose system problems, and develop plans for reconfiguring feeders, upgrading equipment, etc.
- Reviewin Transmission & Distribution interruption tickets to determine if additional investigation and corrective actions plans are required.
- Track, trend, and analyze data including the monitoring of types of interruptions on circuits to identify problems.
- Develop dashboard for tracking a number of circuits to field audit from various Reliability programs. Dashboard should include various items to look for based on the recommended corrective field work.
- Facilitate discussions and internal analyses and data validation efforts of interruption data across service territory
- Participate in revising reliability programs strategic visioning and supporting implementation plans and update field patrol guidelines.
- Conducting investigations of major Transmission & Distribution interruptions with assistance from various departments to determine root cause and corrective action plans.
- Responsible for the identification, prioritization, and tracking of corrective actions based on the potential impact and risk to Transmission & Distribution reliability.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
- B.S. in Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office
- Must demonstrate clear and concise writing and verbal communications skills
- Must demonstrate effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must demonstrate strong planning and organization skills
- Must be adaptable and results-oriented
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism and customer/client experience focus
- Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driving history
