Job Summary
PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Customer Care - Billing Department.
This job involves working as a(n) a Staff Intern in the Customer Billing Department. The Customer Billing Operations team is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate billing of PSE&G's 2.3 million electric and 1.8 million gas customers. The team of 100 employees who allocate and resolve daily billing exceptions, provide reporting for management and benchmarking, implement process improvements, and support internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities
Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
• Identify and implement process or technological improvements
• Review and update process documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Assist team members with testing system enhancements / changes
• Provide administrative support to the leadership and supervisor teams
• Assist the team with developing training plans and programs
• Assist with adhoc data requests, account corrections, and/or customer inquiries
Job Specific Qualifications
Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Data Analytics, or similar and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.
Candidate(s) must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills and a keen attention to detail. Candidate(s) need to be able to meet deadlines, juggle competing priorities, operate independently while knowing when to ask for help or guidance, and view all work from a customer's perspective. Candidate(s) must have experience working with Microsoft suite of services (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) and video conferencing software (ZOOM, Teams, Webex, etc.)
Preferred:
• 3.0 GPA
• Experience working with databases (SAP CCS, Salesforce, Access, or similar)
• Experience with Sharepoint
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
• Experience creating process documentation
• Customer service experience
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
