Job Summary

The associate in this position will provide technical/analytical and functional support in the area of project management, project controls, and construction management processes for the Gas Ops - Gas Construction Group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop estimate cost, schedule and risk management for projects. Ensure Construction projects are performed in accordance with approved budgets and schedules.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams, vendors and stakeholders to complete project analyses by their due date.
  • Coordinate, schedule and facilitate project meetings.
  • Develop, coordinate and maintain financial, schedule, estimate, budget, resource, procurement, risk and other data within the systems / databases and query tools for individual projects and for project portfolio.
  • Develop, coordinate and maintain status & variance reporting and executive dashboards for the financial aspects and schedules for projects.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of experience with cost engineering concepts (project estimating, forecasting, cost controls and variance reporting) and minimum 2 years of experience with ERP systems for identifying and reporting actual costs posted to projects (i.e., SAP, etc.).
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in:  project estimate development and management, assisting in project schedule development, contractor coordination and management; invoice and accrual management; Project Management assistance; integrated cost and scheduling; project & annual budget development; financial analysis; cost accounting/forecasting/variance analysis; performance reporting; project change management; risk & contingency development and management.
  • Demonstrated strong planning, organization, and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with Project Controls concepts (project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, closeout).
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge using Integrated Data Management Tools such as, MS Excel (including VLookup) and MS Word.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of seeking out project related information from  project  stakeholders.
  • Capable of making presentations to project stakeholders and  management.
  • Because the job may require driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid US driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.
  • Safety sensitive position; DOT testing required

 
Desired:

  • Construction, Utility or engineering industry experience.
  • PMP Certification obtained or in progress.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for reporting information on projects.
