Job Summary

Manage gas operations projects related to GSMP and Gas Capital Projects. The position provides oversight and coordination of all activities related to the successful completion of the assigned project(s) from cradle to grave including but not limited to design engineering, contingency planning (as needed), permitting, procurement, outreach, and construction.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible and fully accountable for the full life-cycle management of multiple large multi-discipline projects from time of assignment to commissioning, close-out, and turnover to client / Region operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that project objectives are successfully achieved safely, environmentally compliant; and within scope schedule and budget adherence for cost per mile.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and multi-tasking skills in successfully managing project teams and stakeholders through the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly review meetings with Senior PM, Construction Manager and Sr. Director. Maintain and monitor project agreements with municipalities, update project plans, schedules, resolve issues and get required groups involved to ensure that the assigned projects are professionally and comprehensively executed.
  • Manage contractor performance and agendas, safety, quality control, project risk, permitting, scope change control, environmental compliance, public relations, progress reporting, budgets and closeout reporting including project lessons learned.
  • Represent the Company in meetings with municipal, county or state as required for project kick off, pre-construction approvals and final restoration as the primary point of contact for communication.
  • Follow the project management methodology and process set in place with meeting agenda, project kick off meetings, construction status meetings, meeting minutes, change orders, purchase orders, risk registers, project status reports, forecasting, project presentations, and lessons learned sessions.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Job Competencies:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent business experience
  • A minimum of Eight (8) years of experience with 3 years in utility engineering, construction, operations or project management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes
  • Proven management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera software tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Safety Sensitive position. Will be subject to DOT random drug testing
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver'’s license
  • Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity
  • Will be included on Gas Operations duty lists
 
Desired:
  • MS in engineering/other discipline or MBA
