Business Analysis Team Leader - Materials Management

Job Summary

The Business Analysis Team Leader will play a key strategic role in leading and identifying opportunities to streamline material and inventory processes across the  UOS Materials Management department. The position will be responsible for conducting the department Focused Area Self-Assessment Process for inventory accuracy and material planning. The Business Analysis Team Leader will be managing the financial and reporting aspects of both the department inventory accuracy program and material planning and forecasting process, which includes model implementation, management and enhancement. The Business Analysis Team Leader will also lead the control environment for the Material Management process including the SOX controls design and testing program.
The position will provide functional reviews, support and oversight of internal audits, and conduct targeted internal reviews to insure ongoing compliance. The Business Analysis Team Leader will work closely with, Internal Audit and external auditors in establishing and maintaining controls on financial reporting and fraud prevention. The Business Analysis Team Leader is expected to communicate with senior leadership regularly and represent the department at various meetings.

Job Responsibilities

•Supervise the Material Forecasting and Inventory Accuracy and continuous improvement efforts for Materials Management, which includes Quarterly Reporting and Analysis for the RES Programs.  
•Evaluate underlying assumptions and actual results to make informed, independent decisions pertaining to Materials Management inventory position and direction.  
•Lead the effort with Accounting, Rates, and Utility Finance in establishing and maintaining controls on financial reporting and cost recovery filings.
•Provide governance and oversight of PSE&G's Materials Management Material Forecasting & Inventory Management  financial 
•Management financial reporting processes.
•Oversee functional reviews and provide support and oversight of internal audits. Conduct targeted internal reviews to insure ongoing compliance.
•Identify improvement opportunities across the Materials Management based on process reviews and, recommend / implement solutions.
 

Job Specific Qualifications

Basic:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related major
• 8 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis
• In lieu of a degree, must have 12 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Project Controls or Continuous Improvement
• Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Advanced Excel and Power Point skills, Power BI skills
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical capability and financial acumen
• Ability to function / analyze with limited information
• Understanding of control concepts and expectations of external auditors
• Knowledge of Utility budget process
• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity

Desired:

• MBA or advanced degree
• Experience with Material Management, Procurement or Auditing
• Advance knowledge of SAP
• Demonstrated Project Management Skills
