Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Technical Intern for the Regulatory and Centralized Services

 

This job involves working as a(n) internal process consultant to understand current business processes and collaborate with the customer and internal team to brainstorm innovative solutions. UOS Continuous Improvement supports the Utility’s Training Operations, Vehicle Allocation, and Material Allocation departments. This role will be a great learning experience for someone who wants to use advanced MS Excel functionalities, MS Power BI, and MS Power Automate to conduct process improvement. In addition to the technical skills, the successful incumbent will get an opportunity to lead/co-lead process improvement teams from different lines of business.

 

This position will be Hybrid Fixed

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

  • Technical Trainers
  • Garage Supervisors/Managers
  • Materials and Logistics Managers
  • Business Analysis Team Leaders
  • Compliance Manager/Analysts

Job Specific Qualifications

  • The successful Incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or Business/Data Analytics and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
  • Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
  • PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.

  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • MS 365 Experience
  • Project Management Experience 

 

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
