Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary
PSE&G is seeking a new member for the Technical Training team within the Centralized Service organization at our Edison NJ location. The team performs analysis, design, development and evaluation of technical training for PSE&G’s Operator Qualification. The successful candidate will advance the training that supports a safe, skilled and efficient utility work force working in concert with a team of training professionals.
Job Responsibilities
• The incumbent must enjoy providing client service, be a team player, and excel in communicating both verbally and in writing.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are also important for effective collaboration with fellow instructors and the entire Technical Training team.
• The position works with process owners and process improvement managers across the utility to establish process efficiency. Therefore, the position requires strong internal and external relationship building skills and behaviors.
• The role is responsible to conduct the instruction and learning evaluation required to provide apprentice and incumbent employees & contractor personnel (as required) with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform operations, installation and maintenance service in accordance with job specifications, contract obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Incumbent must be available in case of a storm emergency by periodically being on call for assignment by the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
• High school graduate or GED
• Minimum of 5 years’ utility experience
• Must have a minimum of five years gas distribution system experience with demonstrated knowledge of training.
• Experience with and understanding of Natural Gas systems and OQ Program regulatory compliance. (Gas distribution quality assurance experience will also be considered.)
• Working knowledge of state (NJ BPU) and federal (PHMSA) regulations effecting natural gas system operator training and evaluation.
• Ability to learn and apply training and development processes of analysis, design, development, evaluation, and alternative delivery methods, including automated computer-based applications.
• Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word to manage records and conduct basic data analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record
Desired:
• BS / BA degree in education, training, or instructional design
• Knowledge /experience or the ability to learn evolving systems, such as assessment facilitation, need/task analysis, instructional design/development, and instructional evaluation
• Ability to facilitate joint union / management assessment teams
• Supervisory and / or project management related experience
• Experience in Learning Management System use and data management / reporting
• Experience in alternative training delivery methods, including automated, computer-based or virtual / augmented reality applications
• Process Improvement skills / LSS Green Belt
