Operates and makes minor repairs to all yard equipment and all electric and internal combustion engine driven hoists.  


1) Operate all types of steam, electric, or internal combustion engine driven cranes and hoists.

2) Make minor repairs such as, install and adjust brake bands, renew cables on cranes and hoists, install stock and standard parts where readily accessible, on equipment operated.

3) Perform other similar or less skilled work of the occupational group.


·Must meet the Company's “General Requirement”; must have all of the qualifications of Tractor Operator - Nuclear and, in addition:
1) Must have had at least one year's experience as Tractor Operator - Nuclear, or the equivalent.
2) Must have a thorough working knowledge of the use and care of tackle and rigging used in this work.
3) Must have a thorough working knowledge of the yard hoist equipment.
4) Must have the ability to operate all types of hoists.
5) Must hold an NCCO certification.


As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
