Operates and makes minor repairs to all yard electric and internal combustion engine driven hoists.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Duties are:

  • Operate all types of electric, or internal combustion engine driven cranes and hoists.
  • Make minor repairs such as, install and adjust brake bands, renew cables on cranes and hoists, install stock and standard parts where readily accessible, on equipment operated.
  • Perform other similar or less skilled work of the occupational group. ​

Must meet the Company's "General Requirements"; must have  all of the qualification of Tractor Operator - Nuclear and,  in addition:    

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED 
  • Must meet the Company's "General Requirements"; must have  all of the qualification of Tractor Operator - Nuclear and,  in addition:    
  • Must have had at least one year's experience as Tractor Operator - Nuclear, or the equivalent.
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of the use and care of tackle and rigging used in this work.    
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of the yard hoist equipment.    
  • Must have the ability to operate all types of hoists.    
  • Must hold a State of New Jersey Hoisting Engineer's License (Red Seal). 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving
