Nuclear Technical Supervisor - Radiation Protection


The Nuclear Technical Supervisor will provide field oversight of Radiation Protection activities to include: assigning, supervising and coordinating the work of represented (bargaining unit) personnel in Radiation Protection. The successful candidate will also develop and implement work schedules, make technical assignments and administer the collective bargaining agreement.  This position will ensure work activities meet and exceed the requirements and standards as established in 10CFR, related Regulatory Guides, and INPO Good Practices Guidelines. As well as provide administrative oversight for key elements of the Radiation Protection program, and manage the industrial relations of the group, including performance management.



  • BS Engineering/Physical Science or equivalent combination of education/experience in the field of Commercial Nuclear Plant Radiation Protection.
  • Minimum of 3 years Radiation Protection related experience.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft), Data Base Applications, and Crystal report writing (preferred).
  • Must pass a First Line Supervisor‘s Test (FLST) unless presently and directly supervising PSEG (i.e. responsible for performance review) blue collar, operating department/ represented associates for a minimum of 12 continuous months. For those who have previously taken and received an acceptable score on the FLST but who are not presently and directly supervising represented associates, test results will be valid for a maximum period of two years from the date the test was taken. Acceptable test results exceeding the two year period (for those applicants not presently and directly supervising represented associates) cannot be used in bidding on or applying for a first line supervisory positon for which the test was validated.



  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain unescorted site access at Nuclear.
  • Ability to meet/progress to the required ANSI qualifications for the position
