Job Summary

Provides regulatory compliance support as assigned and consistent with the regulatory compliance group and station priorities.  Provide regulatory compliance support in the following areas: Technical Specification interpretations; reportability determinations, operability determinations; and use of regulatory guidance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates Nuclear Safety Review Board (NSRB) meetings, updates presentations and document minutes.  Coordidates Fleet Review Committee (FRC) collects material and documents minutes.  Coordinates regulatory internal and external stakeholder interface meetings and updates presentations for NJ Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE), Commissioner visits, NRC Drop-ins and NRC headquarter meetings.  Coordinates Regulatory Affairs Status Report (RASR)
  • Provides Executive Protocol Group (EPG) information.  Provides support to Nuclear Industry Evaluation Program (NIEP) audits
  • Implements, modifies and updates standardized programs and procedures to address unique and evolving facility operational conditions.  Keeps Regulatory Affairs SharePoint site up to date.  Requests purchase orders, tracks budget items and travel and training expenses
  • Assumes an Emergency Response Organization (ERO) support function position

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of an Associates Degree with at least 2-4 years of related experience in the nuclear field
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.
  • Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must meet Nuclear' s requirement for unescorted plant access
  • Must participate in Emergency Response Organization
  • Functional knowledge of SAP and DCRMS/Fusion
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and to work under the pressure of short time constraints.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain cordial and professional relationships with all levels of the business.
  • Ability to understand regulatory requirements for licensing, compliance and operations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business.
  • Professional Engineering License, advanced technical degree or industry licensing and regulatory experience.
  • Experience with Pressurized Water Reactor and/or Boiling Water Reactor technology.
  • Management level communication skills.
  • Previous or current SRO License or Certification.
  • Previous Nuclear Regulatory, EP, Environmental or Operations experience.
