Job Summary
The Senior Manager Corporate Oversight is responsible for implementing a robust overisght strategy which aligns with the nuclear playbook. The strategy is focused on identification of lower level trends, ensuring strong alignment with fleet processes, and implementing an oversight strategy which supports the fleet strategic goal of sustained excellence. This position will oversee corporate functional area managers, and ensure that oversight activities are conducted IAW AD-AA-1110 Corporate Functional Area Manager and Peer Group Conduct, be responsible for engagement in industry peer groups, working meetings etc to ensure PSEG's policies and practices align with industry best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- This position is accountable for ensuring an accurate assessment of performance of the Engineering, Equipment Reliability, Maintenance and Work Management departments for Hope Creek and Salem Stations as well as the Corporate Engineering Department.
- Provide the CNO an accurate and comprehensive picture of nuclear operations for PSEG Nuclear.
- Assess plant performance in functional and cross-functional areas.
- Ensure that industry best practices are known and evaluated for implementation at PSEG Nuclear.
- Participate in industry working groups and peer teams to support a broad-based understanding of industry best practices.
- Perform evaluations, assessments and assist visits (inclusive of mid-cycle assessments, deep dive assessments, interventions, recovery etc).
- Interface with station management.
- Perform interviews to gather/analyze technical data, identify trends, and develop logical conclusions.
- Develop strengths and identify program deficiencies.
- Judge significance and scope of above.
- Lead/coach/supervise corporate functional area managers and give feedback to peers and trainees.
- Make presentations regarding team conclusions.
- Observe plant activities.
- Focused ability to evaluate principles and identify performance gaps contributing to plant reliability; Elements include: Station personnel and programs are aligned to identify and prioritize the long term reliability of plant assets and resolution of equipment challenges. The plant operational risk associated with equipment removed from service or degraded and from planned plant activities is maintained low. Inadvertent operational events are prevented through planning, preparation, controls, contingencies, and communication.
- Organizational roles, responsibilities, processes, procedures, and infrastructure are established such that maintenance and work management activities align to applicable industry guidance (i.e. AP-928).
- Engineering solutions are developed with the highest levels of technical conscience, plant reliability risks are understood, communicated, funded, and mitigating strategies in place.
- Design changes are prepared and implemented with quality.
- Ensure comprehensive excellence plans are developed to sustain strong levels of performance across functional areas of responsibility. And that fleet initiatives are developed to align the fleet to industry best practices, executed on time and on budget.
- Supports the development and implementation of intrusive management review processes (i.e. management review meetings) to accurately assess program and functional area health via industry established metrics, periodic self-assessments and continuous performance monitoring.
Job Specific Qualifications
- BS Degree or 10 years relevant nuclear experience. In lieu of Degree 15 Years combined Nuclear Power Plant Experience in the areas of Engineering, Equipment Reliability, Maintenance and Work Management.
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification
- Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state)
- BWR/PWR SRO Certification/ License
- Must meet and maintain nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
- A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (see https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement) is required for this position by May 7, 2027.
- Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.

- Knowledge of System Engineering, Outage Management, On-line Work Management, Maintenance and Technical Training
- Strong computer skill including Knowledge of P6 (Scheduling Software) and SAP applications
