Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring technical guidance, training, performance metrics, and governanceand oversight of the Procedure Administrative Program for PSEG Nuclear and contract personnel.
Successful candidate can transition into a hybrid work situation (2 days on-site per week).

Primary Responsibilities

 

• Coordinator and Subject Matter Expert for PSEG Nuclear Administration Document (AD) Platform
• Define, evaluate and provide recommendations for program compliance and enhancements to maintain industry excellence
• Maintain all aspects of creating, revising, and reviewing AD program documents
• Implement and support an Electronic Procedure Approval application to standardize the procedure approval process; gain efficiency and improvement to decrease the time it takes to review and approve procedures
• Coordinate/implement the strategy to improve procedure updates to the PSEG standard Microsoft Word templates for implementing and administrative procedures. Provide training on different aspects of the AD Program, including the use of associated software, in individual or group settings.
• Conduct periodic detailed AD Program Workshops for Administrative and Technical Procedures
• Execute/ Coordinate AD Working Group
• Develop/Maintain AD Performance Metrics
• Perform Benchmarking and review OPEX
• Perform Governance and Oversight of Station/Corporate implementation of AD Process
• Working knowledge of applicable licensing requirements for control of procedures
• Perform other assignments as directed

 

Job Specific Qualifications : 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : 

 

• HS Diploma or GED
• Working level awareness of 10CFR50.59
• Three years or more experience in procedure writing, preparing, processing within the Nuclear industry or technical writing in another highly-regulated industry
• Knowledge of Corrective Action and Self Assessments as related to quality management systems(e.g.ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills working with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Support of off-hours, outage support, Emergency Preparedness, weekend and shift work may be required.
• Support of additional Records Management program requirements/responsibilities may be required.
• Functional knowledge of DCRMS and SAP (ECM and ERP tools)
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
• Excellent availability/attendance record to support weekend, back/mid shift coverage as assigned, supportEmergency Plan and Outages as required.
• Capable of applying nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : 


• PPA Certification – Procedure Professionals Association
• Familiarity with AP 907-005 - Procedure Writers Manual (Industry Standard)
• Ability to meet the requirements of ANSI/ANS 3.1-1981 for independent technical reviewer/station qualifiedreviewer (SQR)
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word (including advanced formatting and use of macro-enabled templates)in relation to the AD Program.
• Availability to support benchmarking initiatives, including travel to other industry locations.
