Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating, revising, and reviewing maintenance/operating procedures to support safe, efficient, cost effective operation of the Nuclear Generation Stations.
- Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with all Nuclear standards, processes, and procedures. Author/create/revise procedures as required.
- Position is also responsible for reviewing design and license changes for procedure impact, performing 10CFR50.59 applicability reviews and Station Qualified Reviewer (SQR) reviews.
- Support outages and various special projects.
- Reviews and determines scope of change process packages; evaluates the feasibility of requested or proposed changes, and analyzes documents as to their applicability to nuclear operations and ensure the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow and workability, and adherence to regulatory requirements and writers guidelines.
- Performs plant walkdowns as need. Some off-hours, weekend and shift work is required
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two or more years or equivalent experience in procedure writing within the nuclear industry.
- Software knowledge in Microsoft word and Word Perfect.
- Qualified (or capable of becoming qualified) as a SQR and a 10CFR50.59 Safety Evaluation preparer/reviewer/approver.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering,
- Technical area or equivalent education/related experience.
- Strong technical background in the area of I&C/Electrical/Mechanical.
- Must meet the Nuclear Business Unit requirements for unescorted access
