Job Summary

Conducts curricula development activities involving the implementation of all training modules and procedural requirements for the analysis, design, development implementation, evaluation and revision of the operator, technical, maintenance and general nuclear training programs.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with the instructor staff and subject matter experts on analysis, design and development of on-line training content that supports the implementation of the technical training for the accredited and non-accredited training programs. Using the Systematic Approach to Training, create training content, including learning objective construction, setting selection, course content, exam construction, and post training evaluation methods. Implement games, simulation, virtual scenarios, web-based course, mobile learning, audio and video based instruction to support a highly technical workforce. Maintain/revise training procedures to meet continually changing industry standards. Conduct/facilitate train the trainer sessions on software and instructor skills. Support training self- assessments, accreditation visits, and plant evaluations. Work with the learning management system to deliver training across enterprise platforms.

 

Maintain industry participation and proficiency with training technology. Work with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, Electric Power Research Institute, and other industry working groups to standardize and incorporate computer based training into curriculum while still meeting all required regulatory commitments of 10CFR.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIRED: BS degree; preferably in education, instructional design, or organizational development or, in lieu of Degree: 5 to 10 years of experience in training /education including at least two years directing/applying a systematic approach to training (SAT) (i.e. ADDIE or other TSD process).

A minimum of 2 years commercial power generation experience with accredited training  and experience with ADDIE Approach in directing/applying a systematic approach to training (SAT).

Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Must meet and maintain nuclear's requirement for unescorted plant access. 

 

 

DESIRED: BS degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or an Organizational Development Certification. Demonstrated proficiency in adult education experience, accreditation experience, Solid understanding of computer programs and interfaces that facilitate adult learning.
