 Security Infrastructure Projects Mgr - Nuclear

 

This singular (physical security industry-SME) position reports to the Nuclear Security Director and manages Nuclear Security’s physical security projects and programs.  The Security Infrastructure Projects Manager will be responsible for managing the Security Organization’s financial portfolio, accessing security equipment reliability, maintenance prioritization, life-cycle management, and developing project investments that will be presented to both the Security Senior Leadership Team and Fleet Executive Leadership Team. The physical security program’s primary objective is the safety and protection of PSEG’s people, critical energy infrastructure, and other tangible assets from crimes, sabotage, unauthorized access or incursions, misuse, damage, or diversion.  Position ensures that the Company’s physical security program complies with laws and regulations applicable to PSEG’s operating companies, and that the program also responds appropriately to risk variables  associated with the unique elements of the Company’s business. 

This position provides oversight and coordination of all activities to the successful completion of the assigned projects from inception to completion including but not limited to, design, engineering, contingency planning, permitting, procurement outreach and construction. 

Responsibilities:
• Assess, track, and report on MCO Online Budget and OT Financials
• Manages and tracks PO status
• Manages Physical Security Special Projects
• Manages PSEG’s comprehensive physical security strategy involving People, Physical Security Hardware / Systems, and Procedures.  Sets protection objectives based upon analysis of risk; then, coordinates the day to day activities of the PSEG Physical Security and Infrastructure Protection Program (Nuclear’s physical security platform)
• Project management of the PSEG capital and O&M security projects; video surveillance, perimeter intrusion defense alarms, fencing, gates, lighting, delta barriers, jersey barriers, intercoms and access control systems that protect company assets and facilities.
• Researches, engineers, and guides the implementation of integrated, cost-efficient, physical security systems, e.g., intelligent CCTV, IDS, access control systems, including biometrics, interface with the Company’s Security Command Center, law enforcement or central station reporting
• Manages, develops, designs, gains approval and funding for special projects, including but not limited to new construction, regulatory requirements, and guides implementation of the associated physical security operational procedures, i.e., Practices, Instructions, and Directives, which establish day-to-day operational security parameters
• Conducts comprehensive physical security surveys of new (under construction) or as-built facilities and prepares reports.  Insures that corrective actions are implemented to meet regulatory and company standards.  Instructs others how to conduct, routine security inspections.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years business, security, or security equipment related experience – preferably doing physical security work (Federal Government, Military and/or defense contractor experience would be most helpful.)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Project Management and Accounting skills.
• Experience in interfacing and managing security integrators and security vendors
• Ability to write and speak about technical subjects to both SMEs and non-SMEs.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Engineering degree. 
• Advanced professional training and certification in technical security field.
