The Corporate I&C/ Digital Design engineer for Salem and Hope Creek is responsible to providing support for all Digital and I&C design basis activities assigned to them in support of the safe and efficient operation of the Generating Stations. epresents, leads, develops overall strategies and influences decision-making for performance of the assigned design discipline. Provides support for routine design assessments, outage readiness and preparation for outside organizational assessments (i.e. INPO).

 

The Design Engineers job responsibilities include:

  • Setpoint calculations, engineering evaluations, configuration change packages, capital project design oversight and review,
  • Corrective Action Program, Equipment Qualification
  • Rsolution of engineering holds (on-line and outage)
  • Spport shift coverage for refueling outages, support license change requests, support plant engineering emergent design related requests, operability determinations, and emergent LCO support, 50.59 preparation/reviews and technical evaluations.

 

The successful candidate will also perform other assigned duties as determined by the I&C/ Digital Design Engineering Branch Manager.   Technical proficiency is desired in the area of Instrumentation and Controls (setpoint, scaling, Digital Systems, etc.).

 

** The title and market reference point assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience from the interview process

 

REQUIRED:

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical with applicable work experince preferred). Recent graduates must possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 and provide a copy of their college transcript.
  • Zero - five years of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering and/or equivalent experience.
  • Available for shift work and must meet Nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.

 

DESIRED:

  • Greater than five years of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering.
  • Experience preparing digital modifications; ability to manage projects and /or external vendors, familiar with IEEE/ISO/ISA/EPRI/Digital. standards and NRC regulations/guidance (Reg Guide, ISG)  related to design function for PWR/BWR.
  • Knowledge of setpoint calculations, the Equipment Qualification program and Cyber Security.
