POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

 

  • Responsible for the coordination of all mechanical maintenance accredited and non-accredited training activities/programs. 
  • Provide oversight, observation, and technical guidance to improve line and station performance and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop training materials, conduct, and present training. Assist subject matter experts in the development of training and implementation of training materials.
  • Monitor TSD (Systematic Approach to Training) and accreditation renewal. Manage training intranet and VISION database.
  • Assist line management in oversight of OJT/TPE activities for qualifications.
  • Perform self-assessments, benchmarking, and observations to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Partner with maintenance line management to manage, govern and monitor the maintenance first line supervisor training programs.
  • Support refuel outages as assigned.

 

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:

 

REQUIRED:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (ANSI/ANS 3.1-1981)
  • Experience in training at a commercial nuclear power plant, naval nuclear propulsion plant or another similar industry and have knowledge commensurate with the position being sought (Mechanical Maintenance)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Meet Nuclear's requirements for unescorted plant access.

 

DESIRED:

 

  • BS Degree
  • Prior classroom experience, machining experience, welding experience, and/or rigging experience.

 

The work associated with this position requires that the Company provide you with access to Part 810-Controlled Information.  Under the law, the Company is limited in who it can share this information with and in certain circumstances it is necessary to obtain specific authorization before the Company can share this information.  Accordingly, to be eligible for this position you will be required to complete a 10 CFR Part 810 Export Control Compliance Nationality Request Form, a copy of which will be provided to you by Talent Acquisition if an offer is made.  If there is a need for specific authorization, due to the time it takes to obtain authorization from the government, we will likely not be able to further proceed with an offer.
