The main purpose of this position is to provide hands on technical skills in the installation, inspection, calibration, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of M&R Stations, related transmission pipeline facilities, LNG and LPA Plants.

This position requires a highly skilled level of performance in all aspects of operations, maintenance, and installation in M&R stations, LNG and LPA Plants. All work must be in compliance with operating and maintenance procedures insuring the integrity of the natural gas distribution system throughout the state. This includes the ability to understand, operate, maintain, and repair all relevant equipment; prepare and perform operations and maintenance training programs for related facilities; collect data, prepare regulatory inspection reports and interact with regulatory agencies during inspection of M&R, LNG and LPA facilities.


This position is for the Northern Area. This position is also responsible for the supervision of bargaining unit employees in the operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities at various locations.


• High School graduate
• At least 5 years relevant experience in gas operations and M&R.
• At least 3 solid years of proven process instrumentation, system communication, and troubleshooting skills along with mechanical or electrical experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Safety Sensitive Position – D.O.T. tests and OQ testing required.
• Ability to evaluate and assess operational data to select appropriate action or techniques.
• Excellent written, computer, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player, self motivated results orientated, analytical, and excellent judgment skills.

Note: Because the job requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.


• Associate or two year technical degree in mechanical, electronic, controls or related field.
• Solid, diverse background in hands-on mechanical, instrument and electrical skills with experience with troubleshooting equipment used in M&R Stations and Plants.
• Excellent knowledge and working experience with a wide variety of electronic and pneumatic calibrators, as well as natural gas, propane and liquid natural gas equipment.
• Fundamental personal computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Maintenance management System (SAP) and many proprietary software programs, such as Mon, Direct Soft, Factory Floor, GMACS.
• Knowledge of basic gas and cryogenic properties, theories and principles.
