Eligibility: 

You must be a rising college sophomore in an accredited four year engineering program.

Duties include (but not limited to):

 

  • Prepare new drawings and revisions to existing drawings by AutoCAD.  Familiarity and experience with AutoCAD, Windows and Microsoft Office software is preferred.
  • Assist experienced engineers in the performance of investigations, prepare as-built sketches, witness inspections during the course of construction, prepare specifications, studies, evaluations, cost estimates, bills of materials, participate in meetings and prepare designs.  Assignments may involve the upgrade and improvement of existing transmission and distribution substations or the design of new transmission and substation foundations, structures and site civil construction.
  • Assist with tower/structure drawings in the archives.
  • Participate in field activities at overhead and underground transmission facility locations throughout the service territory as part of investigations, design development and construction technical support.

Education and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a rising college sophomore in an accredited four year engineering program.
  • This position requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, applicants must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.

 

As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
