Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Summary
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Under general directive supervision, investigates and satisfies all complaints for servicing automatic gas appliances, carries through assignments, at times, with the assistance of other employees of equal or lesser grade; dispatches work orders to employees, performs duties such as Adjusting automatic appliances and associated electrical control equipment, such as, water heaters, refrigerators, house heating, cooling, and conditioning systems, and commercial and industrial equipment; investigating complaints of unsatisfactory performance; locating and remedying sources of trouble; checking operation of equipment to determine completeness and adequacy of repairs; testing combustion with flue gas analyzer;
- Making repairs to and installing those repair parts on automatic type appliances which involve the adjustment of automatic gas controls;
- Adjusting and maintaining industrial service regulators and associated piping and equipment;
- Making investigations and satisfying service requirements on air conditioning controls, circuits, pressure, pilots and burners, etc. of the type that would normally be performed on central building heating or other gas burning equipment of which the following items are typical but not exclusive: Correcting gas pressure and supply, Cleaning and adjusting burners and pilots, Cleaning and repairing gas controls and filters, Correcting fan operations where necessary, Checking flues, basic power circuit, and thermostats, Making seasonal changeover, Lighting pilots and making minor repairs;
- Making investigations and satisfying service requirements on fully automatic types of equipment using a programmed sequence of operations to attain, prove, and maintain combustion of which the following items are typical, but not exclusive: Correcting gas pressure and supply,
- Cleaning and adjusting burners, Cleaning, adjusting and lighting pilots, Checking basic power circuit and thermostats;
- Inspecting gas installations done by plumbers or contractors, excluding fully automatic equipment using a programmed sequence of operation to attain, prove and maintain combustion (controls of the type required on fully automatic equipment with input of 400,000 BTU per hour or more in a single combustion chamber), to determine whether the specifications of the Company have been followed and that the completed work is safe and satisfactory for receiving as service;
- Installation of HVAC systems'
- Performing other similar or less skilled work of the occupational group;
When Assigned to Dispatching Work
- Receiving inquiries and work orders from Company employees, customers, and others; transmitting information to others concerning the status of work orders, as directed; preparing work orders; transmitting work orders to employees, as directed, reporting emergency conditions immediately;
- Sorting new work orders for processing; checking uncompleted and promised date work orders in file; looking up completed orders; tabulating information regarding work orders, as directed; checking confirming orders;
- Checking work orders of employees reporting into shop, as directed, checking for completeness of information entered on work orders; reassigning uncompleted work orders, as required.

- Must satisfactorily pass the hiring tests;
- Must have aptitude for mechanical work;
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions and learn routine procedures;
- Must have the ability to learn the identification and use of all material, tools and equipment commonly used in gas customer service work;
- Must be able to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner;\
- Must be able to make neat and legible records;
- Must pass driving tests prescribed by the Company and hold an Auto Driver’s License valid in the State of New Jersey;
- Must have a working knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Traffic laws and Regulations of New Jersey;
- Must have a knowledge of and ability in the safe operation and care of vehicles in all locations and under all conditions of traffic and terrain;
- Must be alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents
