Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary
Position provides a senior/ leadership position in Asset Management Outside Plant Electric Distribution for those with extensive and valuable field experience in either overhead or underground construction methods and standards as a corporate subject matter expert. Position is lead expert in respective area responsible for strategic direction, governance, and oversight of proper materials, methods, and construction techniques to safely and reliably construct, maintain, and alter distribution systems; whether new or existing. Position provides formal, definitive responses and sets corporate direction and standards for Divisional requests/ questions on complex construction and design situations. Position also leads the asset management analysis of new/ existing technologies and methods in support of corporate initiatives, projects, and filings for Outside Plant Electric Distribution - providing both analysis of issues and solutions for improvements to meet goals. Position facilitates respective corporate Electric Distribution Engineering and Construction Team (EDECT) and provides expertise/ participates in internal forums such as Safety LOB, Overhead/Underground OWGs, Engineering OWG, and Operations OWG. Position represents PSE&G in external forums including industry standard committees, interactions with suppliers/ contractors, and interaction with large/small customers regarding power quality concerns and must have strong leadership and communication skills with ability to clearly and comfortably communicate in sometimes difficult situations.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the resolution of distribution circuit issues (overloads, voltage violations) by modeling scenarios in CYME, analyzing AMI data and determining resolutions.
- Investigate power quality issues, both residential and commercial.
- Take lead role as subject matter expert in support of outside plant electric distribution and provide assistance to divisional staff through analysis and the application of engineering and business knowledge - responsible for development, communication, and setting corporate standards of work methods, maintenance practices, and materials including providing engineering guidance on complex/ unique construction and design situations.
- Act as representative and provide expertise in industry forums using knowledge and experience. Participate in appropriate industry standards committees, industry groups (i.e. EPRI, CEATI, NEETRAC, etc.) and provide leadership in internal working groups (EDECTs/ OWGs/ LOBs).
- Take lead subject matter expert role in analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of asset data and best practices to support reliability enhancement and other investment programs and initiatives for Electric Distribution assets, filings, and programs; including creation of justifications, scopes of work, feasibility, cost benefits, and business plans.
- Customer facing role having direct interaction with large and small customers; aiding the review, analysis, and solution finding of customer complaints and power quality concerns. Works to resolve customer complaints while educating customers during process and directing troubleshooting efforts of divisional resources as necessary to find resolution for customer.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Direct field experience in the construction, maintenance, design, and operation of overhead and/or underground distribution circuits.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and codes such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to handle high pressure, difficult situations.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
