Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

This position in Communications is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the company’s online presence and reputation, including markets, competitors and brand-adjacent topics. This monitoring and reporting includes the daily news roundup, ad hoc media reporting requests, monthly and quarterly media analysis and reporting. This position is also responsible for Press Release distribution via news wire service, e.g. PRNewswire, and company web posting. This position is also responsible for the companywide cross-functional external communications calendar. This position also performs media research and media list management, conducting research on news organizations, journalists and influencers to support media relations across team. This position is also responsible for contract management for media operations, e.g. subscription services for Cision, Factiva and more. This position is also responsible for some online content management such as executive biographies, company description, company awards and facts, etc. This position will also provide ownership and management of Records Retention, corporate headshots, content approval tracking, content library.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the company’s online presence and reputation, including markets, competitors and brand-adjacent topics. Media monitoring and reporting: compiling and managing the daily news roundup, ad hoc media reporting requests, monthly and quarterly media analysis and reporting. Regular collaboration with digital team and content owners to develop holistic view of company’s presence, perception and reputation to create holistic reporting.
  • Communications content calendar: Own and manage a cross-functional communications calendar.
  • Press release distribution via news wire service, e.g. PRNewswire, and company web posting.
  • Content management: Support communications team in management of company content, such as executive biographies, company description, company awards and facts, corporate headshots, content approval tracking, content library.
  • Contract management for media operations, e.g. subscription services for Cision, Factiva and more.
  • Media research and media list management: Conduct research on news organizations, journalists and influencers to support media relations across team. Field general inquiries from the media. Liaise with communications team to ensure general inquiries are handled.
  • Support Communications operations with ownership and management of Records Retention.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree with 3 years of relevant work experience, in lieu of a bachelors degree, at least 7 years of relevant work experience
  • High level skills with the Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Power BI
  • Skilled with media monitoring tools, such as Critical Mention, Factiva, Cision, etc. 
  • Capable to work in various web platforms, e.g. SiteCore, First Up
  • Experience with AI tools, e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini

Desired

  • Preferrfed Bachelor's degree major in Communications, Journalism, Business or Data Science/Analytics
  • Strength in project management and time management
  • Good communicator. Comfortable with and proven success working with all levels and backgrounds of colleagues, e.g. engineers, accountants, C-suite executives
