Job Summary
The Manager Corporate Social Responsibility reports to Manager of the PSEG Foundation & Corporate Social Responsibility. This position will lead and manage the key day-to-day activities and operations for Corporate Social Responsibility. This position’s primary responsibility is the management of all corporate giving budgets (utility, enterprise, power), the facilitation of activities related to the management of those events as well as occasionally supporting employee volunteerism initiatives. As it relates to corporate giving, this position has responsibility to ensuring CSR programs are in alignment with PSEG's philanthropic giving strategy, societal investment strategy (ESG), and establishes and fosters strategic partnerships while supporting the corporation’s goals and objectives. This position is the subject matter expert and key liaison to all executive members whose budgets the corporate giving dollars come from. This position, in conjunction with the Manager of the PSEG Foundation & Corporate Social Responsibility, ensures compliance with all corporate PSEG policies and compliance rules governing corporate giving. The position is responsible for directing cross-functional teams internally and externally to ensure that the CSR & Corporate Citizenship vision for corporate giving is being met.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the day-to-day activities/operations of the corporate social responsibility and corporate citizenship goals which is driven by the PSEG corporate vision and targets.
• Create, in conjunction with the Manager of the PSEG Foundation & Corporate Social Responsibility and implement the corporate giving annual philanthropic plans in alignment with the corporate citizenship plan. Create alignment on purposeful Corporate wide giving strategies, adjusting when required to ensure the strategic vision of corporate citizenship is being implemented.
• Plan, create and facilitate societal investment strategies through philanthropic giving and working with key strategic partners that aim to empower non-profits to assist underserved communities through social and environmentally sustainable activities, while strengthening the PSEG brand.
• Work with the directors of external affairs to ensure giving strategies aren’t in conflict with municipal relationships. Consistently assess the evolution of corporate goals and capitol work plan locations to ensure giving strategies support the PSEG and PSE&G agenda.
• Plan and implement strategies to keep leadership informed on all budgeting activities for monthly/quarterly reporting. On a monthly/quarterly basis, report on the corporate giving activities and financial status to leadership.
• Manage the internal and external organizational relationships key to the daily operation of corporate giving - System Integrator/Payment processor/Legal/HR/External Affairs/Governmental Affairs, etc.
• Manage the Employee Crisis Fund.
• Partner with the Manager of PSEG Foundation on external board placements for non-profits as well as annual PSEG officer gifts.
• Participate in all activities for JD Power activities ensuring corporate citizenship targets are met.
• Responsible for occasionally supporting employee volunteerism initiatives inclusive of potentially helping with the implementation and creating/monitoring the statistics.
• In collaboration with communications, Manager of the PSEG Foundation & Corporate Social Responsibility, develop and implement internal/external corporate social responsibility communications strategies.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required
• Bachelors and minimum 10 years of experience in philanthropy, corporate giving, community outreach and engagement, or another relevant field
• Demonstrated track record in corporate societal engagement and corporate sustainability performance
• Knowledge of best practices in corporate giving, grant making, community partnership, and volunteerism strategies
• Able to develop relationships in communities within PSEG territory
• Ability to plan, stage and run events and lead community and employee teams
• Proven track record of executing events
• Experience directing special projects; Project management skills
• Media and/or communications experience
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends
• Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
