Job Summary

This position is open to current PSEG employees only

he PSE&G Operational Excellence Model (OEM) defines how PSE&G conducts its business; sets priorities; develops and executes plans; defines and implements Processes and Procedures; and monitors and assesses performance for continuous improvement.  This job involves leading PSE&G self-assessments, thereby utilizing broad knowledge of the business and field operations, to assess implementation of Processes and Procedures as defined in the PSE&G OEM.  Self-assessments aid the business in identifying improvement opportunities.  The Lead may also support improvement efforts across PSE&G where performance gaps are identified.  
As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. You may also be required to work in an alternate location.

Job Responsibilities


• Serves as the Lead point person on all PSE&G Self-Assessment requests including drafting scope documents and final reports and designing sampling and testing procedures. 
• Tracks and updates Asset Management & Planning Guidance Link documents and coordinates all activities required to enhance, update and modify procedures.
• Serves as consultant for PSE&G Administrators providing guidance on compliance with Company Policies, Process and Procedures; and supporting process monitoring, consistency and improved efficiency across the company. 
• Provide support, as necessary, to the Manager Business Performance & Improvement on all ad hoc requests from Vice Presidents and Directors.
• Oversees the Materials Management focused area self-assessment (FASA) process, including reviewing all storeroom FASA documents, providing guidance on process improvements, and reviewing and approving quarterly Internal Audit Services (IAS) reports.
• Oversees the PSE&G Commitments database, ensuring Commitments are added and updated in a timely manner and issuing reports on a semi-annual basis.
• Lead the update of PSE&G’s Board Risk Assessment including coordinating with owners for updates and ensuring final report is provided to Enterprise Risk Management by the pre-established deadline. 
• Oversee the responsibilities of two Performance Measurement Analysts, providing guidance, support and oversight. leads, coaches and motivates a team.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor’s degree OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of 7 years of financial operations and process improvement initiatives experience.
• Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of utility and/or generation operations.
• Broad based business experience and knowledge of PSEG operations.
• Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong process development and project management skills, must be adaptable and be result-oriented.
• Demonstrated clear and concise writing and verbal communication skills are essential. Internal consulting skills; strong presentation skills
• Skilled in computer applications, including but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Visio.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving history.
Desired:
MBA or equivalent Master’s Degree.
• Experience working in SAP
• Experience working directly with External vendors
• Process Improvement skills / LSS Green Belt
