Job Summary

You'll help manage strategic executive and thought leadership communications programs. This role is responsible for creating compelling, original, thought leadership and executive-level content for a variety of audiences and channels. The individual will work closely with the VP Corp Comm, the broader corporate communications community and other key senior stakeholders across the company.

 

YOU ARE:

A Storyteller and Strategic Communicator

  • An exceptional writer and storyteller at heart
  • Preferably, experience in journalism and executive communications
  • Specific experience working with C-suite/senior leaders
  • Bring a creative approach that is digital-savvy and has experience in content creation and storytelling
  • Strategic acumen and the ability to understand complex/industry specific topics, business strategy and convey both in compelling, relatable messaging
  • A strong collaborator that is able to partner across a mix of constituents, work-settings and organizations
  • Ability to brainstorm, partner with all types of clients, act as a sounding board, develop into a strategic thought leader
  • Demonstrates an excellent understanding and thinking across multiple communications disciplines, from thought leadership to crisis communications to consumer affairs
  • A proven diplomat with exceptional interpersonal skills, presence and professionalism
  • Track record of building strong relationships with a highly matrixed group of stakeholders
  • Experience advising/working directly with the executive suite

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and execution of industry and company narratives - working in partnership with the Corp Comm team and key stakeholders across the business
  • Manage a strategic communications platform that elevates the executive and PSEG as a whole
  • Manage C-suite speaking opportunities
  • Create and implement tactics and vehicles for communicating (Speeches, Town Hall presentations/talking points, emails, speaking presentations, videos, social media strategy and content)
  • Create written and speaking content that enables the executive to achieve business objectives - including thought leadership content, messaging - to meet the needs of different audiences (external)
  • Research and develop new creative communications channels for both external messaging
  • Create and drive stories across platforms and channels from speeches and presentations to digital and social media, long-form and short-form storytelling
  • Work in partnership with key functions to integrate and align messaging

Job Specific Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•    10-12 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, or related field
•    5+ years external communications in varied disciplines, such as organizational communications, executive communications, and public relations
•    Ability to travel (10%) (domestic)
