PSEG is looking for Salesforce Certified Solution Architect with at least 6 years of experience on Salesforce.com platform to join our team to build innovative solutions for Customer Relationship Management, and other areas using latest Salesforce technologies. The successful candidate must have prior Salesforce technical expertise in product design and architecture, experience working with Salesforce products – ServiceCloud, SalesCloud, MarketingCloud, and Einstein Analytics. The candidate must have experience with integration of Salesforce with backend systems such as SAP and Mainframe using MuleSoft middleware.  This position is a direct report to Group Product Manager – Smart Services and works in the area of Customer Care and Call Center technologies. The Solution Architect is responsible for the design of technology solutions in support of core business functions by evaluating end user needs, client goals, budgets and existing applications to define system requirements and technical standards. The selected candidate(s) will serve as an expert for the Systems & Platform Architecture domain in Salesforce and maintain a broad understanding of the other Architecture domains (e.g. Business, Application, Data, and Security domains).

 

• Works with Clients to deploy Salesforce products and applications through the PSEG’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using CMMI processes in Agile Methodology.

• Works with Product teams in Two Pizza Team approach similar to Amazon product development model.

• Develops architectures for solutions involving Salesforce, and its integrations with backend applications like SAP, Mainframe etc. using middleware tools like MuleSoft

• Accountable for overall design, architecture for Salesforce product for the organization

• Identifies process improvements, Next Best Actions, Automation opportunities, and Pro-active communications for customer care applications

• Develops Architectures outside of Salesforce Platform as relevant to overall solution, example Customer Analytics Platform.

• Maintains Product technology road map of applications in alignment with Business, Architecture, and Production Operational needs.

• Provides independent assessment and technical review of vendor design to validate adherence to best practices and design principles that would be compliant with PSEG standards.

• Interacts as an active and engaged team member with the Product development teams to deliver complete technical solutions to our stakeholders.

• Collaborates with other enterprise, platform, and solution architects to ensure scalable and efficient solutions are envisioned, designed, developed, and implemented to meet business needs.

• Support Enterprise Architect in determining how key business functions can be supported within target applications and keeping the Enterprise Architect informed of the product roadmap of the target applications.

• Develops data models for Salesforce implementation. Support the Enterprise Data Governance process by reviewing new data element requests submitted to the product teams to ensure adherence to enterprise data model.

• Promotes the use of industry and PSEG technology standards. Knowledge of new, emerging technologies.

• Broad technical knowledge of software & hardware solutions used in large enterprises including various areas SAP, Mainframe, infrastructure, Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions.

• Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational products, and applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture.

• Good understanding of technology platforms including Cloud products and ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements, and assist and evaluate vendor selections.

• Develops high level estimates by analyzing the business cases and viable design solutions.

• Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.

• Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities.

• Identifies and drives issues through closure.

• Identifies potential risks and suggest remediation controls.

 

Required Skills, Competencies, Education and Experience:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information/Computer Security, Computer or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline

• This is a multi-level position and placement is dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience of the selected candidate. 

o Salesforce Sr Solution Architect – at least 4 years of experience as a Solution Architect on Salesforce.com platform

o Salesforce Principal Solution Architect  – at least 8 years of experience on Salesforce.com platform

• 4 or more years of experience with designing software & hardware solutions used in large enterprises including new technologies, infrastructure, Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions

• 2+ years proven experience supporting and coaching other solution architects

• Must have suitable salesforce certifications. Having a Salesforce Architect certification will greatly improve the chances for a successful application

• Direct experience with Agile (Scrum) project methodologies and practices.

• Experience designing and developing software components specifically with Salesforce.com platform is required.

• Familiarity with Salesforce.com best practices, support mechanisms, procedures and limitations is required.

• Proven experience in very large Salesforce.com implementations with multiple integrations including web services, legacy applications, app exchange, etc.

• Experience working with middleware tools like MuleSoft is required.

• Proven experience driving the direction, development, and implementation of very large Salesforce.com solutions.

• Proficiency in programming using Force.com APEX, Visual Force, Java, JavaScript, XML, HTML5 and the use of these tools with Salesforce.com.

• Strong knowledge of UI enablement in Salesforce.com including Lightning UI paradigm

• Strong knowledge with configuration, customization, and programming with APEX APIs, APEX Triggers, and implementing new instances of Salesforce.com from inception of license purchase.

• Experience with a variety of ETL tools including Force.com Data loader, MuleSoft Dataweave.

• Experience with management of Salesforce.com sandboxes, including their integrations.

• Working experience with verticals such as Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Community Cloud, and Marketing Cloud, Einstein Analytics, and Einstein Data Discovery.

• Proven ability to learn new products, develop technical knowledge and apply new skills in a high paced environment.

• Good knowledge of web services and integration. Knowledge of Integrating with middleware tools specifically MuleSoft is required.

• Excellent knowledge of Salesforce Administration and Development.

Desired Skills, Competencies, Education and Experience:

 

• Preferred Master's Degree in Computer Science

• Experience developing business process flows and soliciting business requirements

• Knowledge of testing methodologies and/or project management

• Certifications in Project Management (PMP etc...)

• Experience with CMMI

• Understanding of basic financial principles including experience with project financial budgeting and planning

• Certified as an AWS Cloud Practitioner and/or AWS certified solutions Architect associate

• Working with offshore Teams to build cost effective solutions
