NOTE:  This is a multi-level series.  Successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent upon skills and experience. 


Manage day-to-day information, data and page design updates using enterprise content management (ECM) systems (SiteCore, WordPress, MS SharePoint and HP TeamSite) per established site governance practices. With the creative team, manage and maintain creative assets library (using Adobe Creative applications) and ensure the implementation of consistent brand standards throughout the sites.

Partner with IT development teams to ensure internet/intranet content changes are timely and error free. Serve as liaison to client departments to ensure their digital communications needs are met.

With the manager, establish and implement strategic objectives and governance best practices for (internet) and myPSEG (intranet), as well as all other digital properties (i.e. blogs, microsites, etc.).

Use new-technology solutions and web analytics tools to continually monitor site traffic, improve user engagement and enhance user experience. Recommend technical enhancements, based on analysis and usage reports.


Required Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience:


  • BA/BS in Web Design, Visual Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • For the Manager level - Five to seven years digital communications and/or marketing experience, with minimum two years specific to web site management.
  • For the Specialist level - Two to five years digital communications and/or marketing experience, with minimum one year specific to web site management.
  • Highly skilled/expert in working with enterprise content management systems (MS SiteCore, HP TeamSite) and Adobe Creative applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of CSS, HTML, XML, and web design apps (i.e WordPress, Dreamweaver).
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret analytics/trends reports (WebTrends, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Hand-on knowledge of collaboration tools (Microsoft SharePoint).
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and set priorities
  • Ability to lead teams
  • Strong client focus, with emphasis on customer service
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Adaptable, flexible and collaborative
  • Capable of making strategic decisions, taking initiative and working independently
  • Capable of handling multiple assignments at the same time
  • Detail oriented


Desired Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience:


  • Advanced degree in Web Design, Visual Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience with social media marketing (targeted web advertising, Google Ad words, sponsored content, etc.).
  • Experience with search-engine optimization tools and techniques.
  • Well-versed in graphic design best practices and user engagement and experience (UX) strategies, studies and trends
