Job Summary

The Manager, Legal Operations & Technology will be responsible for the overall strategy, development, implementation and maintenance of processes and technology solutions within the law department and other areas in the General Counsel’s organization. This role will be responsible for identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and driving cost effective operations resulting in tangible savings for the organization. This role will also have oversight of and responsibility for vendor relations, including outside counsel, and will partner with Finance to oversee budgets, forecasts, accruals and develop financial reports

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the relationship with the department’s outside counsel law firms and other vendors, and related billing/invoicing and payment processes. This work will include leading large-scale RFPs. 
  • Optimize and enhance the use of technology, including harmonization of internal business process management tools to enhance efficiency, data integrity and manage cost.
  • Leverage six sigma and other project methodologies to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to the process owners. Subsequently, provide project management support in implementing those improvements. 
  • Leverage data through metrics and dashboards to provide valuable insights to the General Counsel and Senior Leadership Team on various initiatives. 
  • Partner with Finance to prepare monthly reports, monitor the General Counsel’s budget, and address various financial issues. Oversee the timely payment of vendors and manage the accruals processes for the department. 
  • Manage departmental people processes, communications, memberships, all-hands meetings, department surveys, and employee engagement initiatives. 
  • Serve as the department’s primary liaison with enterprise IT and HR on various initiatives.

Job Specific Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years’ experience managing business operations type functions including systems, data analytics, budgeting, or vendor oversight 
  • In lieu of a degree, 8 years’ experience managing business operations type functions including systems, data analytics, budgeting, or vendor oversight
  • Demonstrated ability leading large projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple large vendor relationships
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting and related reporting
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to work independently



  • Experience leading project teams of exempt and non-exempt professionals
  • Demonstrated experience implementing large scale multi-faceted technology solutions
  • Ability to proactively identify needs and issues and provide solutions
