Job Summary

Responsible for driving customer, contractor and trade ally engagement in energy efficiency (EE) and electric vehicle (EV) programs accounting for $700-$900 million/year of investment through marketing, communications, government/community partnerships, and business development/sales to meet program goals for enrollments and customer engagement. 

Lead collaboration efforts among program management team, implementation contractors and key internal and external stakeholders. Ensure program marketing and promotions are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Must work in coordination with the Legal, Procurement, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Communications, Customer Campaign Management, State Governmental Affairs (SGA) and others. 

Coordinate strategy and execution with internal marketing and communications teams, 10+ implementation contractor marketing teams, outside agency and 8-10 program managers. Identify target customers, trade allies, and market influencer audiences and develop related campaigns including messaging, materials, tactics and KPIs by sector and segment. 

Ensure that marketing campaigns are aligned and consistent with PSEG’s corporate brand strategy. Develop and deliver community outreach strategies that drive energy efficiency and electric vehicle investments by encouraging outside organizations such as educational institutions, sustainability organizations, local governments and transportation authorities to take action Including Collaborating with community action agencies for underserved markets, enact local Chamber of Commerce and consumer campaigns...

Research manufacturer/retailer resources for cooperative promotions, determine best practices and create upstream and midstream offers, and work with Marketing and the Government and Community Partnership team to drive participation via market influencers. Coordinate with Information Technology and Business Solutions team to ensure microsites meet business requirements. Lead the coordination of internal marketing and communications team, implementation contractor marketing teams and outside agency to lead development of EE and EV marketing strategy, branding and awareness. 

Manage business development team of 10+ employees focused on being the trusted energy advisor to PSE&Gs managed customers by providing EE solutions tailored for their specific industry – in coordination with the programs teams, Business Customer Solutions, the Implementation Contractors and trade allies. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Lead marketing effort to raise awareness and drive leads for the EE and EV programs
•    Lead the business development team to provide concierge service for our largest managed customers to participate in the EE and EV programs
•    Drive EE and EVinvestment through community outreach by encouraging outside organizations to take action. 
•    Develop working relationships with regulators and community groups. 
•    Manage budgeting, forecasting and regulatory compliance for the outreach management function. 
•    Develop and monitor key performance indicators to drive program enrollment and customer engagement.
•    Lead process improvement initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement 
•    Lead/supervise team of direct reports by creating and fostering a culture of integrity, diversity, teamwork, comfort speaking up, safety and wellness. 
•    Evaluate performance, perform career development, coaching and counseling for direct reports.

Job Specific Qualifications

(Day One Requirements) 

•    BS/BA degree and 8 years of combined experience in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Customer Operations, Project management, regulatory or partnership development.
•    5 years of leadership experience, including 5 year of management experience which includes direct supervision of exempt employees
•    Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed/cross-functional environment 
•    Strong analytical and financial skills 
•    Demonstrated leadership skills - must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity
•    Operational decision-making skills, strong analytical ability, strong problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills 
•    Ability to multitask and maintain high performance during periods of change and drive high standards for individual, team and organizational performance

•    High level knowledge of a sales cycle 
•    Additional 18 months of management experience which includes successful direct supervision of exempt employees
