Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

Manage internal audit activities related to various areas including Finance, Accounting, Utility and Power Operations, Procurement, Legal, Human Resources, IT and Enterprise Compliance Program support.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in annual risk assessment and the development of an Audit Plan. 
  • Position requires managing Audit Project Leaders/Lead Auditors who deliver assurance and advisory services to internal clients on accounting, regulatory compliance and operational control issues, and may conduct SOX testing.
  • Oversee and provide performance evaluation, training, and coaching of associates and external resources and assist the Vice President – Internal Audit Services in department administrative matters.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, and  5 - 10 year’s experience in accounting, auditing or financial management/consulting.

• In lieu of a degree, 15 year’s experience in accounting, auditing or financial management/consulting.

• The ability to analyze operations and make sound judgments with limited information.

• Demonstrated strong leadership, written and oral communication skills, and facilitation skills.

• Must have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with teams, department leadership and with all levels within the lines of business.    

• Must display a working knowledge of, and an ability to identify and recommend effective internal business controls and best practices. 


Desired Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:

• CIA, CISA, CPA or MBA in Finance with a proficiency in accounting and auditing standards.

• Knowledge of utility business

• Knowledge of SAP, Data Analytics and General IT/OT acumen with the ability to understand how our processes depend on system data and the Business Controls around them.
