Job Summary

Supports the Director, ESG and Sustainability, in the ongoing development, execution, and refinement of the company’s ESG’s strategy, material priorities, and sustainability-related initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as the central hub for essential ESG data and analytics, facilitating the gathering and oversight of enterprise ESG data, qualitative and quantitative KPIs, and benchmarking best practices. Presents information and data to key stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinates corporate responses to ESG surveys and assessments from third-party organizations, including independent rating agencies, and assist in the ongoing due diligence, monitoring, and comprehensive analysis of the company's ESG performance and rankings.
  • Establishes procedures for collecting, aggregating, and reviewing company ESG data, collaboratively working with data SMEs to streamline reporting and to ensure alignment with reporting requirements and internal data governance. Support the team’s data-focused internal controls and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversees the business usage of Workiva as the primary tool for reporting ESG-related data. Works with IT to maintain and refine the system to reflect business needs.
  • Undertakes research projects and provides comparative analysis as needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes ESG landscape, including best practices, regulatory developments, accounting metric updates, as well as public opinion and market dynamics, to inform internal strategy and decision-making.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics, Government/Political Science/Policy, or Sustainability with at least 7 years of business experience that covers a combination of utility industry experience, deregulated energy markets, and sustainability reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • High comfort with data analysis and presentation.
  • Strong capacity with statistical and quantitative analysis preferred
  • Must be proficient in MSOffice, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • A high level of professionalism and integrity with a strong sense of ownership
  • Can provide leadership to a team but can also contribute effectively as a team member

  • Master's degree
  • Understanding of key sustainability frameworks and disclosures, including TCFD, SASB, GRI, etc., with a preference for recognized certifications (i.e., GRI, FSA, etc.)
