Job Summary

PSE&G is seeking a new member for the Business Process team within Asset Management and Planning organization at our Newark NJ location. The team performs back-office contract administration, billing and financial monitoring for those wireless and fiber communication companies that lease PSE&G facilities to deliver their communication services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and functional support to the Business Processes group in support of the Utility Review Board (URB) Process.
  • Perform analysis on capital project preparation documents and uses this analysis to identify gaps, provide opportunities for improvement, and ensure documentation meets URB requirements.
  • Provide expertise on the capital project approval requirements in support of teams submitting capital projects for approvals to the URB.
  • Support teams in completing the Project Economic Evaluation Model (PEEM) and will as act as a direct liaison to Project Valuation.
  • Tracking of all projects submitted to the URB for approval.
  • Request all URB submission documentation in preparation for internal review meeting.
  • Review submission documentation for inclusion within both the Internal Review & Final Submission decks.
  • Ensure presentation deck for URB submissions aligns with URB governance and provide feedback to stakeholders on presentation submissions.
  • Develop and/or update McLaren Links for incorporation of URB documentation within McLaren System that is presented at the URB meeting.
  • Develop Capital Review Committee presentation slides.
  • Review submission PEEM analyses model(s) prior to submission to Project Valuation group.
  • Address open inquires provided by Project Valuation with stakeholders.
  • Lead Project Valuation “Final” review meeting for approval of Investment Request documents.
  • Review and analyze approved blankets and provide guidance to blanket owners to ensure adherence with the URB Charter.
  • Review and assist stakeholders to revise blanket investment request documents on an annual basis for approval 
  • Manage and update capital approval documentation files.
  • Memorialize, track and update capital submissions, approvals, supplements and close out documentation.
  • Provide overall governance guidance to stakeholders and develop updated documentation as necessary.
  • Provide Ad Hoc analysis in support of the URB and CRC charters.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Experience (3 to 5-years) of business analysis in accounting, auditing or financial management/consulting and/or Sarbanes – Oxley Section 404
  • Demonstrated consulting or operational experience
  • Proficiency in accounting and / or auditing standards
  • Demonstrated ability to support thoughtful decisions by gathering, transforming, and analyzing data to develop and document conclusions and / or recommendations
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. (Occasional travel to Company locations may be required)
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Developed written and oral communications skills
  • Incumbent must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity

Desired:

 

  • Working knowledge of SAP, e.g. FI/CO and MM modules
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, V-look up, etc.) and MS PowerPoint
