Job Summary

This position serves as PSEG System Architect for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Meter Data Management Systems and Head End Systems.  The AMI architect is involved in the full technology life cycle.  They will leverage their knowledge and experience to maximize the value of existing AMI assets and create our strategy to support CEF (Clean Energy Future) investments.  The role requires extensive collaboration with vendors, analysts, IT teams and business users to define requirements, design processes and build solutions within the overall enterprise architecture and Cyber standards.  The AMI architect will be responsible for driving the completion of all AMI related programs.  

Job Responsibilities

•Creating the product roadmap for all AMI related applications and interfaces.
•Work with outside vendors of metering systems, manage relationships and help develop and integrate new products and solutions.    
•Partner and work directly with representatives from related lines of business including Customer Care, Electric Distribution, Gas Distribution, Energy Settlement, Solar, Customer Technology, Collections, Outage Management and Revenue Integrity to define AMI related solutions and manage the decision-making process to accomplish enterprise goals.
•Lead the resolution of any technical defects identified in the AMI infrastructure.
•Evaluate existing technology solutions to determine fit for the new requirements. Recommend technology alternatives. 
•Troubleshoot and resolve promptly any critical batch process failures.
•Report Project and/or Production support status to all stakeholders.
•Document capabilities and any changes to new or existing components and associated test results. 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus 12 years of professional technology solution engineering.
•6-8 years of work experience in Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS) and Head End Systems (HES).  AMI and infrastructure
•Highly proficient in SAP Device Management and SAP XI.  
•Extensive technical and functional experience in the development and support of IT systems. Preferred in ‘Meter To Cash’ (Electric and Gas) Area.
•Knowledge of system monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues.
•Exposure to Cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
•Demonstrated leadership capabilities through technology solution ownership and adoption, projects, or other work experiences. 
•Demonstrated experience translating business outcomes, business requirements and technical requirements into technical designs for new solutions or enhancements to existing technology solutions, while following architectural standards and organizational policies.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task effectively with strong analytical ability, problem solving skills, and attention to details.
•Demonstrated verbal and written communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to foster working relationships with the team, IT Management and Client departments.
Desired
•Experience integrating with MuleSoft and JAMS applications.    
•Discipline Certifications (i.e. Technical certifications, AWS)
•Experience working with Service Now application.
