Procurement Analyst / Senior Procurement Analyst

Manage the procurement of materials and services for PSEG’s Information Technology line of business through accurate procurement project management and planning; innovative sourcing; and contract development, negotiation and administration. 


Specific duties include: Supplier identification and qualification; procurement project management and planning; procurement sourcing; RFP preparation; bid evaluation and negotiation, purchase order preparation; contract administration including: negotiating and settling claims or back charges, and dispute resolution; material and services planning to yield cost savings; tracking market conditions and identify spending trends to facilitate and leverage spend efficiencies; and, host and/or attend procurement and client interface meetings to facilitate procurement engagements.


NOTE: This is a multi-level position. Candidate will be placed at the appropriate grade level dependent upon skills and experience.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of procurement related experience for Sr. Procurement Analyst and at least 3 years of procurement related experience for Procurement Analyst.  Without a degree at least 9 years of procurement related experience
  • Experience buying information technology materials (hardware and software) and services (hosted/cloud solutions and telecommunication) and negotiating with suppliers bid, sales and Legal teams.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferably SAP and ARIBA
  • General knowledge of UCC & Contract Law
  • Valid driver license & ability to travel
  • Innovative in sourcing and procuring materials and services
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and development
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
     

Desired:

 

  • Graduate degree and/or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M)/Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M) designation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Demonstrated experience performing Procurement Analytics
