Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

Support the long term, strategic, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and asset management focus for Inside Plant and Outside Plant Electric Delivery assets through the development and utilization of complex analytical tools (CMMS, NED, Delta X, PI, Solar, Equipment Ratings, etc.). These tools will be used to analyze specific equipment and system performance; to identify trends and gaps; to generate solution options (maintenance / replacement plan); operational impact on the delivery system; determine the effect on business targets; and evaluate economic and operational risks. This position is also responsible for the integration of RCM analytical tools and systems into the ESOC Energy Management System and into the future PSE&G DMS.
 
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Provides consulting services and solves unusually complex engineering / analytical problems through mature judgment, creativity, and originality, by utilizing and adapting a broad knowledge of analytical principles and practices acquired through progressive experience.
•    Applies advanced technical algorithms, analytical tools & methods developed from basic principles.
•    Advanced understanding of system impact on equipment and equipment impact on system, and expertise to apply, design, specify, operate & maintain, thermally rate and coordinate the application of transmission and distribution system equipment
•    Research, investigate, develop and apply innovative technologies to foster operational efficiency in the growth and operation of the electric delivery system
•    Provide input and coordination of: the Inside Plant / Outside Plant Transmission / Distribution Replace Facilities Capital Budget and inputs of all contributing associates to the Investment Evaluation System (IES) for Replace Facilities Blankets
•    Provide the analytical justification in the development of the annual Inside Plant PM / CM O&M budget plan, Division PM / CM work plan and measures the monthly performance of the Divisions to the plan
 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s  Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Decision Science  and  a minimum of 10 years in analytical support systems or in the utility industry
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 15 years of equivalent experience in analytical support systems involving Inside and Outside Plant Electric Delivery facilities
  • Must have valid U. S. driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record

Desired:

  • Masters in Engineering / Computer Science
  • Demonstrated, advanced technical / professional knowledge and experience in a specific power specialty area
  • High level of overall Electric Delivery System knowledge
