Job Summary

This position manages and oversees HR Information Security, HR Technology Sox Controls, Organizational support of HR Data privacy and Learning Management Technology.  Manages staff in the evaluation of risks and threats, development, implementation, communication, operation, monitoring and maintenance of the HRIS security policies and procedures to promote secure and uninterrupted operation of HR systems. 

Provides advanced expertise in systems and process analysis, design and problem-solving in a complex, multi-system environment with focus on end-to-end processes and impacts. Act as the liaison between business teams, application vendors and IT for system integrations, enhancements and issue resolution; Responsible for translating complex business needs to effective design recommendations, system/data analysis, instituting design in system, and leading or participating in testing and deployment activities. Conduct and present quantitative and qualitative analysis of cross-functional people and payroll data in collaboration with business teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and improving a comprehensive internal SOX controls to support HR Master data, payroll processes and related HR Technology development lifecycles.
  • Responsible for overseeing procedures related to management activities; risk assessments performed;  application of controls related to the protection of the confidentiality and integrity of employee and applicant data.
  • Partner with HR functional teams to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Manages design, implementation, delivery, and support for organization’s HR systems and related procedures to ensure successful adoption.
  • Serve as an advanced subject matter expert for one or more HRIS modules/functional areas and actively participate in design, planning, implementation and support of HR systems.
  • Contribute to system decision-making, scoping and planning for HR system projects in support of the overall HR strategy.
  • Lead system upgrades, feature release, interfaces and data conversion projects across functional areas of HR and provide direction for project team members. Coach, lead and develop a team of HRIS Professionals. 

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years HRIS, IT, or IT audit related experience 
  • SuccessFactors (or comparable HRIS or IT implementation, configuration and maintenance experience required. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead special projects and ability to multitask (i.e., upgrades, major organizational changes, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail and ability to drive successful execution of plans. 
  • Developed interpersonal, communications (written and verbal), and teamwork skills, including ability to communicate analytics to a non-technical audience. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MS-Excel macros, MS Visio and Relational Database
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required
