Job Summary

We are looking for an individual with extensive hands-on experience with Robotics Process Automation (RPA), orchestration, and development with scripting experience. 

The Senior Technology Engineer is involved in the full technology life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing and supporting RPA and scripting software, hardware and systems. Senior Technology Engineers work closely with Analysts and Product Managers to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions in the robotics process automation area. Senior Technology Engineer is responsible for creating reference architectures, best practices and procedures. Senior Technology Engineers may be assigned to either implementation or support functions. Implementation involves creating new technology based solutions whereas support involves upgrades, maintenance or issue resolution to existing technology solutions.

Please note this position is hybrid, comprised of remote and in office work.  PSEG reserves the right to amend the hybrid model at any time.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities are:
•    Demonstrate an understanding of concepts, best practices and functions to implement an RPA solution in a corporate environment
•    Experience in troubleshooting, RPA development processes, and ability to understand and implement client requirements.
•    Perform quality review of automated solutions and provide feedback to junior team members
•    Serve as technical mentor to team members and citizen developers
•    Develops, implements, and oversees robotics process automation best practice policies and procedures.
•    Analysis of end user’s needs, business and technology requirements in the robotics process automation areas and translating them into technology solution capabilities. 
•    Design, configuration, development, documentation, testing of technology solutions to meet business or technology requirements in the robotics process automation area. 
•    Evaluates existing technology solutions to determine fit for the new requirements. Recommends technology alternatives. Collaborates with other stakeholders to ensure proper integration of the new technology solution with the existing technology solutions. 
•    Creates technology solutions based on a disciplined process and ensures they meet all product and service level requirements. Ensures that the design and technology solution implementation meets security and QA standards. Makes solutions and solution parts production-ready by following the standard change management processes.
•    Documents capabilities and any changes to new or existing components and associated test activities and test results.
•    Works with Clients to deliver business outcomes by executing projects through the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) inclusive of identifying, specifying and analyzing business requirements and processes and managing progress throughout the design, test and implementation process (work is technically difficult, requiring innovative and creative solutions and frequently involves multiple platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools including public and private cloud-related resources and storage).

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) for example) plus 6 years of professional technology solution engineering
•    Demonstrable scripting skills in C#, VB, Python
•    Experience with automation and robotics process automation products.
•    Proficiency in development and maintenance of RPA bots
•    Knowledge of system monitoring tools and commands to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues.
•    Exposure to Cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
•    Demonstrated leadership capabilities through technology solution ownership and adoption, projects or other work experiences. 
•    Demonstrated experience translating business outcomes, business requirements and technical requirements into technical designs for new technology solutions or enhancements to existing technology solutions, while following architectural standards and organizational policies
•    Experience documenting technical solutions or business and system process flow techniques using applicable methods such as engineering drawings, UML (e.g. Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams) etc.
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task effectively with strong analytical ability, problem solving skills, and attention to details
•    Demonstrated verbal and written communication and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to foster working relationships with the team, IT Management and Client departments,
•    Understanding of technology architecture, technology platforms and ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements. 
•    Demonstrated experience defining metrics that measure success of the technology solution in addressing business and technical requirements as well as achieving the desired outcomes.

Preferred:
•    Experience with Automation Anywhere product
•    Automation Anywhere RPA Developer Certification
