PSEG is seeking an Intern within the Benchmark and Scorecard team at our Newark NJ location.

 

The successful candidate will perform functions in support of a number of areas including but not limited to:

* Update and broaden out the scorecard forecasting tool

* Scorecard input automation for new files and new metrics

* Benchmark Line of Business Analysis and development

* Support of Benchmark study participation

 

The interns will support the Balanced Scorecard and Benchmarking processes in the complete, accurate and on-time development and completion of process outputs for senior executives, inclusive of overall data validation, scorecard reporting and benchmark book support.  In addition there is an expectation of completing specialized projects.  Projects may include but are not limited to:  Continued development strategic metric forecasting, T-4 scorecard and analytical sheet development support, documentation of the benchmarking  manual, guided analytics for both the scorecard and benchmarking, strategy map development support, peer group analysis and validation, 2019 target setting, and Lean Six Sigma support.

 

Interns will be able to apply scholastic learning and expand knowledge through professional exposure and experience with the balanced scorecard, benchmarking and best practice, along with cutting edge and fundamental business technology, process thinking and learn how to succeed within a team environment.

The interns should have strong behaviors in cooperation, detail orientation, teamwork, professionalism, along with having a teachable demeanor.  The intern should also possess knowledge of Excel and will require the ability to quickly learn data visualization software

 

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering Finance, Business, Econ, Math, Analytics or similar related major with a minimum GPA of 3.0 Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration. .
 

(Prior knowledge of Tableau a plus.)

 

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students with GPA of 3.0, staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, immigration Support will not be provided in association with these positions.
