PSEG is seeking a Solar 4 All intern at our Newark NJ location.

The Solar 4 All® (S4A) Fleet is a unique and complex collection of thirty-six (36) solar generating assets of varying size and installation method, including five (5) integrated solar plus energy storage facilities. S4A fleet also includes the world's largest pole attached solar facility of ~170,000 solar units mounted to utility poles throughout the PSE&G electric service territory. S4A hires a summer intern each year to assist in the development of new analytical reports to better understand and effectively operate the S4A fleet.

Summer intern will be tasked with providing analytical support for Solar 4 All operations. Specifically, the intern will be asked to provide detailed analysis of various S4A operational metrics, including:

- analyzing pole attached solar inspection data results, and wireless communication efficiency;

- analyzing generation lost as a result of equipment failure vs. irradiance;

- support research into solar and energy storage operations and grid edge advancements; and

- shadow field operations and maintenance activities and construction work, plus participate in weekly operational status calls.

Job Responsibilities

Job Specific Qualifications

Summer Interns:

The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's, or Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering. Candidate must have completed sophomore/junior level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered.  PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period and as business needs warrant. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students (must be enrolled at the commencement of the internship program) Housing, transportation, immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
