Responsible for managing the day-to-day production support activities associated with production control and coordination for infrastructure applications supporting critical business processes for PSEG lines of business as well as to ensure solutions align with the business needs and objectives. This includes developing, administering and executing preventive maintenance programs, overseeing problem management, performing root cause analysis and corrective action plans.   



  • Oversee and guide all aspects of ID Related incidents and request processing, Entitlement reviews, SOX reporting, Application access and assisting supplier in automation activities  
  • Monitor support team ITSM queues to ensure prioritized, timely resolution and completion of all records.
  • Act as escalation point to take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution
  • Coordinates with IT managers and vendors to resolve complex malfunctions.
  • Identify and assist team to resolve complex network problems
  • Knowledge of network hardware and software; switching and routing configuration and troubleshooting; firewall configuration and protocols; infrastructure and design, topologies and protocols. 
  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures for the network, technical specifications and documents, drawings and system documentation, and operating manuals. 
  • Assist in project deployments for the network domain

  • Comply to ITSM/ITIL process such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Request Management, CMDB, KEDB
  • Work with infrastructure and application project teams to ensure solutions are aligned with acceptable support requirements, and that the transition and delivery of new or upgraded systems are seamlessly moved to production support teams and suppliers.
  • Participate in the Management of the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for all scorecard and LOS applications including updating of the DR plan, as well as periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency.
  • Assisting the development and manage the preventive maintenance programs for Infrastructure systems including patching, upgrades, tuning and performance management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the core technologies and processes. Ensure Quality Control and Assurance procedures are consistent with Infrastructure specifications, client requirements and corporate policies.
  • Perform reviews and/or Root Cause Analysis on production systems failures, formulate corrective action plans, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and track their effectiveness.
  • Manage and communicate problem resolution and system restoration status during unplanned outage events to LOB and IT Senior Management. 
  • Comply with all NERC CIP and regulatory guidelines and standards.  Comply with cyber security- related and other vulnerabilities as identified by the IT security team.  Support all internal and external audit initiatives and remediate identified deficiencies, if any.
  • Identify continuous improvement areas and come up with new initiatives to enhance infrastructure support.  Manage, maintain and comply with license requirements related to SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and in house hosted infrastructure. 
  • Assist in keeping the environment current and come up continued improvement initiatives and identify future technologies and implement new technologies once business approved.

    Required (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge):


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information/Computer Security, Engineering or a related STEM discipline. 
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Level of experience required ranges from internship to 4 years of relevant experience within the IT field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.
  • Overall strong technical proficiency in information technology/computer disciplines.
  • Strong MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with peers and clients.   
  • Good skills in project and problem management.
  • Understanding of general IT standards, policies, best practices, guidelines, processes.
  • Good communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation; teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with internal clients from various business organizations and lines of business, and IT management and staff.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 environment with callout availability required
    (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge): 


  • Knowledgeable of Infrastructure support as well as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and overall understanding of Infrastructure components.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence functions, applications, and system & technology alternatives 
  • Knowledge in infrastructure design, implementation and support
  • Knowledge supporting applications related to Utility power plants monitoring and maintenance
  • Knowledge supporting real-time utility operations
  • Knowledge with LAN Security processes
