Summary

Troubleshoot and repair major brand washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, and electric appliances. Work various schedules and hours as required. Must safeguard all Company tools and equipment. This position is home based reporting assigned to Mid-Central Gas Division and performs all work for which pre-qualified. Must be able to read schematics and wiring diagrams and be proficient in the use of tools and equipment relating to the trade, such as multi-meters, pressure gauges, etc.
Per the Bargaining Unit Agreement, this position has a 5 year lock-in period for both the department and location.

Job Qualifications

Essential requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have successfully passed the Gas Battery test or if applicable White Goods hands on skills test administered by the Company.
• Must possess and maintain a valid New Jersey Driver's License
• 2+ years field experience.
• Must possess Type I or Universal refrigerant certification.
• Must demonstrate, through written and hands on testing, a thorough knowledge of stated experience.

Desired Skills –
Desirables include technical school training and /or related college courses, and ability to troubleshoot and repair major brand gas appliances other than washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, and electric appliances.
