Job Summary

The technical intern will be providing business & operational support to the Advanced Distribution Management Systems. 
Work with the Engineers within  ADMS team on Energy Strong II to ensure the availability, reliability and security of the ADMS system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Summer interns will assist engineers on various ADMS initiatives such as:
     
    * Operating system patching and patch reports - Cyber Physical Security Requirements
    * Reviewing and Validating the operational model of the distribution system 
    * Support the team on continuous improvement process plan development
    * Assist the team by  by tracking open  incident tickets and working with the  engineers to resolve 
    * Assist team member on score card reporting for security & operations as requirement for governance and regulation of the company
    * Interns will be working with different stakeholders throughout their internship period.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

 


Job Requirements: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree majoring in Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical & Information Engineering from an accredited institution. Candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered.  PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.  
 
Preferred Skills: Course work on Electric circuit theory, Basic computer programing
 
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period and as business needs warrant. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students (must be enrolled at the commencement of the internship program) Housing, transportation, immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
