Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary
This position is a direct report to the Principal Technology Product Consultant with understanding of business goals, business processes, technology expertise in one or more domains, technology solution design and implementation. The Associate Technology Engineer is involved in the full technology life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing and supporting software, hardware and systems. Will actively monitor and report on PI data metrics and create scorecards to measure effectiveness of technology. Technology Engineers may be assigned to either implementation or support functions. Implementation involves creating new technology based solutions whereas support involves upgrades, maintenance or issue resolution to existing technology solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Work as part of the CMMS PI team on various PI projects, including commissioning of new devices
• Design, configuration, development, documentation and testing of technology solutions to meet business or technology requirements. Evaluation of existing technology solutions to determine fit for purpose for the new business or technology requirements. Recommendation of technology alternatives. Collaboration with other individuals to ensure proper integration of the new technology solution with the existing technology solutions
• Analysis of end user’s needs, business and technology requirements. Translation of these requirements into technology solution capabilities and design. Alternatively, using the user needs, business and technology knowledge to peer review designs, implementation plans, software code, configuration settings or other artifacts to ensure technology solution being created by others meets the user needs, business and technology requirements
• Ability to Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns with PI data
• Maintain key performance metrics and measures
• Collaborate with multiple departments to achieve data quality standards. Support with gaining data insights, monitoring performance, detecting abnormities through PI data management
• Provides support toward resolution of escalated support tickets. May perform the needed analysis to identify root cause of reported incidents, identify the short and long term remediation for the identified incidents
• Creates process flowcharts, diagrams, drawings and other related documentation. Creates technical workflows using different modeling techniques.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 4-6 years of technology solution engineering, utility or IT/OT experience
• Demonstrated technology solution ownership and adoption, projects or other work experiences
• Understanding of Basic Automations Principles and components such as RTUs, IEDs, Controllers
• Understanding of Basic Networking and Communication Protocol such as TCP/IP, Modbus, DNP3
• Ability to read, edit and create electrical and network schematics and diagrams
• Participates in analysis of end-user needs and designs. May configure, develop and test low to medium complexity technology solutions to satisfy demand
• Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork, facilitation, relationship building, and negotiation skills
• Strong MS Office skills (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
• Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
• Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with peers and clients.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
Desired:
• Advanced degree, e.g. Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.
• Basic understanding of IT methodologies and IT processes
• Proficient in SQL and Python
• Experience working with clients on documenting requirements
