Job Summary

The Smart Meter Operation Center (SMOC) team is responsible for the data collection, processing, and distribution of PSE&G’s AMI devices. The Process Analyst will support SMOC by analyzing data to help configure, optimize and harden the existing systems while identifying areas where systems can be better integrated across business units. In addition, this Revenue Measurement & Protection position will utilize AMI data to support the Revenue Integrity Department (RID) through the Analytics Platform. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Actively participate in the implementation of new systems and modules to support AMI Use Cases and PSEG initiatives surrounding AMI.
•    Prepare reports (daily, monthly, annually, and ad hoc) and review, analyze, and explain trends in existing reports within Command Center and/or Meter Data Management System (MDMS).
•    Investigate client/customer concerns as needed. 
•    Actively participate in problem solving initiatives to determine root cause, gap analysis, and develop process improvement recommendations to resolve the problems identified.
•    Provide timely feedback to determine effectiveness of implemented solutions and take corrective action as required. 
•    Play a leadership role in the development, recommendation and implementation of new procedures and process improvements, often via cross-functional teams.
•    Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls. 
•    Support the Managed Services Agreement and Service Level Agreement established with AMI vendors.
•    Foster the refinement, understanding, and enhanced utilization of process measures and benchmarking.
•    Understand and maintain Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls.

Job Specific Qualifications

• BS degree and 5+ years relevant work experience including business/financial experience.  In lieu of a degree, 9 years relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills
• Demonstrated experience and high proficiency in Excel, Power Point and other Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrated organization skills; ability to build and maintain effective partnerships within and across organizations.
• Demonstrated analytical, attention to detail, and communication skills.


Desired qualifications:
• Experience working on IT Projects or system enhancements
• Benchmarking experience
• Demonstrated skill in implementing process improvements
• Experienced in creating process documentation
• Visual Basic experience
• Demonstrated experience in MS Tableau, MS Access, SharePoint, and SQL
