Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this Manager is to function as the sole dedicated diversity, equity & inclusion resource for PSEG Long Island.

Additionally, the DEI Manager is responsible for:

  • Planning, developing, and facilitating the implementation of diversity and inclusion programs and strategies that drive culture change;
  • Identifying industry best practices and implementing such to maintain and improve inclusion, employee engagement and productivity in alignment with the company’s mission, vision and values;  
  • Managing the DEI scorecard and reports to support implementation of identified initiatives and programs;
  • Leading and providing guidance and support to the PSEG Long Island Diversity & Inclusion Council, the EBRG Leadership Council and the EBRGs to ensure that the councils, its members and leaders are implementing initiatives that align with PSEG Corporate and PSEG Long Island strategic goals and scorecard metrics;
  • Coordinating with the Community Partnership Program (CPP) to support PSEG Long Island’s commitment to serve and support the communities in which we do business.
Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with the executive management team, and serve as the sole dedicated DEI resource advisor to the SLT.
  • Partner with the lines of business to create an engaging work environment and positive culture that reinforces our company’s core values and performance driven mentality.
  • Implement strategy to support PSEG Long Island culture and JD Power metrics
  • Partner with Corporate Communications in developing a comprehensive communications strategy for all DEI initiatives that increase engagement.
  • Support the gathering and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to advance DEI strategies.
  • Develop and plan cultural engagement events that promote inclusivity in the workplace.
  • Facilitate and lead difficult conversations concerning political and social issues to promote inclusivity in the workplace.
  • Identify effective opportunities to increase employee engagement and improve customer perception through the distribution of the EBRG operational and charitable giving budgets for all local long island EBRG chapters.
  • identify effective opportunities to increase employee engagement through the distribution of the DEI Operational Budget in accordance with the OSA contract.
  • Plan and develop content for the D&I Council monthly meetings & EBRG Leadership Council quarterly meetings.
  • Plan and develop content for semi-annual DEI Summit for PSEG Long Island.
Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 6 or more years of experience with emphasis in culture change and/or project management developing and advancing diversity and inclusion strategies and workplace culture change for measureable results within a large corporate environment.
  • A deep understanding of the culture of PSEG Long Island.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing diversity and inclusion and workplace culture strategies and effectuating change in this space.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment with the ability and credibility to work through all levels of the company as a trusted partner and change agent.
  • The ability to scope, develop and manage projects and implement resulting recommendations
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze results and make proposals/recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative factors/data
  • Proven leadership ability, strong ability to influence others, and demonstrated passion for the issue of diversity and inclusion
  • Good business and financial acumen, with proven experience in measurement, benchmarking, data analysis, and interpretation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Desired:

  • Bachelors degree in sociology, organizational development or related field.
  • Ability to engage with difficult personalities
  • Experience interacting with executive management on a regular basis
